Adidas Y-3 Runner 4D Halo GX1091 release date

At one point, Y-3 was one of adidas’ most exciting efforts, spurring innovation with silhouettes like the Qasa and the PureBOOST. And although the sub-label has recently taken a back seat, they have never stopped pushing the limits with their creations. The recently unveiled 4D Halo Runner is a good example, its design taking inspiration in part from the Y Super Position that came out all those years ago.

Unlike previous iterations, the 4D Halo Runner dramatically improves the overall utility of the lineup. Underneath the 3D printed sole, the brand has applied what looks like chenille spikes through the tread. Above, the upper is stylish but reinforced not only with Primeknit, but also with an outer layer of openwork knit. This, while supporting the shoe as a whole, serves a more cosmetic purpose, adding texture as well as a place for the dangling string trio.
